Poor Streaky

"Figure out my secret identity yet? It's not like I wear a mask or anything. And sometimes I show up in my Super
man identity while looking like Clark Kent." For God's sakes, it even took his own WIFE forever to figure it out.

If the Secret Six take over the world, we're screwed because Ragdoll will be ruling us. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than having Deadshot as a ruler. But nowhere near as bad as Cheshire or Parademon. If this happens, I'm moving to Africa.

Fans of Power Girl may be going, "Wait! Streaky's actually orange!" Well, it takes about three issues of her comic to realize that Streaky is covered in dust from his kitty litter, Peej=worst pet owner ever.

Pink pants

I get that Shulkie's supposed to be sassy and sexy, but that doesn't seem to be the best outfit of choice to argue in court.

Not to mention, that's a lot of boobage for a prestigious job like She-Hulk's.

I love Parademon. He's so perceptive. I'm sad he's only in the first mini. Now that I think about it, I love anyone and anything out of Apokalips. I love Barda, I love Mr. Miracle, I love Parademon, and I'm fond of all the Furies (especially Granny Goodness). I even enjoy reading about Darkseid.

Beware My EMBRACE OF TERROR

I don't watch anime often (only Zatch Bell or Full Metal Alchemist when the mood strikes) but my FAVOURITE part is how the protagonists are always so moody and melodramatic. Which is why I'm in love with Jimmy Yama's anime face here. Anime always does that thing where they have half of someone's face in the side of the panel, looking all broody.

Nicola Scott is the PERFECT person to draw Secret Six because she draws the prettiest Catman I have ever seen in my life.
At one point Secret Six was drawn by someone else (can't remember, and too lazy to get my trades) and it just wasn't the same because Catman wasn't beautiful. Not even the women get to be as pretty. I was going to say that Nicola Scott is incapable of drawing ugliness (since she can make even Ragdoll look cute) and then I remembered her drawing of Junior which I'm not putting here because I don't want to scar you.

I'm kind of liking Kingpin. I was always kind of ambivalent about him firstly because I hadn't read much with him and partly because he was in the horrible Daredevil movie. Anyway, he was pretty awesome in this Spider-Man/Batman crossover I read. But what in the world would you call this attack? The Hug of Horror? Cuddles of Cruelty? What are you going to tell your buddies after surviving this attack? Sure, you're pretty badass for escaping the Kingpin, but you also have to be like, "Yeah, I got these broken ribs because he hugged me really hard."

I didn't think it could get worse than Dazzler

I'm disenchanted with Joss Whedon for a number of reasons, which is another essay in itself. You would think he would be the best choice to helm Runaways, but that turned out not to be the case. I didn't really mind his whole time travelling plotline, if he DIDN'T JUST COMPLETELY DROP THE PLOTLINE THAT Brian K. Vaughan HAD STARTED. Heinberg's last issue ends with Tony crashing their hideout. And then...nothing. Joss just ignores it. So we never find out why Tony was there. Yes, the transition between writers can be choppy (the worst one I think of right now is the transition on Deadpool between Joe Kelly and Christopher Priest, but at least Kelly wrapped his plotline up first) but I have never read a comic in which the successor just completely drops the established plot. That just seems to show a real lack of respect for the previous writer. It's like Joss is going, "VAUGHAN, YOUR PLOTLINE HAS NO CHANCE OF BEING AS AWESOME AS WHAT I'M THINKING, SO IMMA SCRAP IT COMPLETELY."

But okay, I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is this girl above, who has the power of, I shit you not, dancing on air when she hears music. Sure, she can kick people in the face when she rises in the air, but SERIOUSLY? SHE DANCES. ON THE AIR. Goddamn that's even a worse power than Dazzler's. At least Dazzler parlayed that into a viable disco career that has outlasted disco.

Sure, this is a pretty cute page (especially for a comic in which 99% of it involves punching people or things) but it becomes less cute when you realize that it's been established that Luke Cage weighs 300 pounds and his skin is comparable to steel. So I guess my question is, why doesn't Clair have a broken back? Maybe she's a mutie too. PLOT TWIST.

My brother is currently trying to convince me that Kyle Rayner is the awesomest Green Lantern, but would Kyle calmly extinguish his flaming hair with his fingers? I don't think so! Guy's the man, and he always will be. He's also rockin' that turtleneck. Me likey.

Holy H-E-double hockey sticks, Knockout's hair is roughly the same height as a ten year old child. That's A LOT of hair. I wish I knew her secret to volume.

Batman/Wonder Woman...OTP?

So here's something I've been wanting to talk about for awhile: Batman/Wonder Woman shipping! Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who can carry a conversation about shipping except my bro, and he's not really the shipping kind of guy. So I'll just write about it in my blog.

To me, Batman/Catwoman are OTP (and it's pretty much canon now, if I recall) but there's just something about these two that makes me love them together. Maybe it's how they are romantic and kickass on the same page, or maybe it's how they are sometimes hilariously awkward and sweet. Who else but an Amazon could handle Batman? Bruce very rarely smiles...but he seems to always smile when he's talking to Diana. Even though they will probably never end up together, there's just something that seems right about the pair.

I recently watched an episode of the Spider-Man cartoon from the 60s that featured a violinist who could blow things up from his violin. I pretty much freaked out when I was reading Secret Six and found this guy. He is called the fiddler and he wreaks havoc with his violin. What are the odds that TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE could come up with the same concept of a violin that BLOWS SHIT UP?

When I pick comics, I tend to read Marvel exclusively, then switch to DC, then back. I almost never read a mixture. So when I switch to a different universe, it always takes awhile for my mind to catch up. Like sometimes I'll be like, "Is that Bucky?" or something and then I'll realize I'm reading a DC comic. Anyway, I was so excited when I saw this because I thought that was Conner Kent and I pretty much love him. Then I remembered that I was reading Marvel and that was Ares. How can I make that mistake? They are in no way alike. I think I just got confused because Ares didn't have his helmet.
